This past weekend was my favorite type of weekend.
It was all about family, good friends, enjoying San Diego, and the beach.
It was the type of weekend that makes me feel so grateful for all of the beautiful things in my life. :)
(And to top it all off, Shark Week just started... YES!)
One of my very best friends is moving to Chicago with her boyfriend in the next few weeks. I'm going to miss the crazy zumba and boot camp classes we do together, sharing our mutual obsession with cupcakes, and our long talks, but I'm glad we were able to go out in Pacific Beach one last time before you leave San Diego. Don't worry Courtney, I promise I'll come visit you soon! :)
We spent Saturday with Nadav's family. It was a really nice day spent relaxing at his parent's house, hanging out with his family, celebrating my birthday (we've been celebrating for about 3 weeks now =P), and enjoying the Carlsbad Lagoon and Carlsbad beach.

We spent Sunday in downtown San Diego with two of our best friends and their adorable baby. There was a dog adoption event that we checked out at the San Diego Bay Front Hilton. I would love to get a dog NOW, but I know that we need to get some more work done on the house before we do that. I'm bummed I didn't get any pictures of the event, but if you're interested in adopting a dog you should definitely check it out next year.

We really enjoyed lunch at the Neighborhood, an awesome restaurant/pub near the Gas Lamp Quarter in downtown San Diego. The service is great, the rest and the restaurant has a great look/vibe. They have a great beer selection and really, really good food.

Nadav and I are wrapping up the weekend on the couch watching the start of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. Loveeee Shark Week
And for now, I'm looking forward to my month long vacation from work by loading up my Kindle with some new books, planning multiple beach trips each week, scheduling lots of yoga/boot camp/pilates classes, getting my beach cruiser ready for some boardwalk rides, thinking about projects I want to do around the house, and knowing that I'll be spending lots of time with the people I love.
I'm so thankful for August :)
