Adventures in Card Marking

My very lovely and creative friend Donna who I talked about here, invited a group of friends over for scrapbook and card making night. I know I know she's awesome, it's a great idea, and she REALLY should start a blog. ;)

If you ask me, there are few things better than getting a bunch of awesome girls together for wine, yummy food, gossip, music, and crafting.

Here are some pictures from the evening we spent being very crafty. :)

"Showing off" my blog to new friends... I figured they should see it before their pictures show up on a blog post ;)

Our fancy chefs

Quite possibly one of the cutest dogs I have ever encountered, EVER.

Some pasta pastry things. I assure you, they tasted as yummy as they look

Figuring out the next step

See I wasn't kidding when I said Brownie may seriously be the cutest dog ever...

Told you so.

and this is how you're NOT supposed to hold scissors. Trust me, I know these things hehe

My creation

My other hamsa creation

I had so much fun making these cards that I'm now contemplating taking up scrapbooking and card making as a serious hobby. Unfortunately, I hear it can be a pretty expensive, which wouldn't go over to well right now. ;) Does anyone know where I can purchase some "cheaper" scrapbooking supplies?

Hope everyone has a wonderful week :)

xoxo,
Tammy

This looks so fun! I love card making and scrapbooking, but I also think it's way too expensive!! I usually wait for sales on pads of scrapbooking paper and stickers at Michael's. Sign up for their email list!

It is a fun hobby..and I think if you just buy what you need it wouldn't be too pricey. I however seem to have a problem that I buy everything I like & it all sits there not being used!

The cards look great!

Looks like such an awesome time!! I'm glad you had fun! Your cards all look really good! I make my own cards instead of buying them. If you go to AC Moore or a store like that, you can try to find a 50% coupon in the Sunday paper. I'm not sure if they still do that or not. Goodluck!

Hope you have a great day!!
