Honey You Baked

No really, I baked and I somehow succeeded. (Woop woop woop, yeahhhhhh)
Baking may not be a huge feat for most people, but for me it's kind of a humongous deal. I have a history of ruining food, burning food, and making big big messes anytime I try to cook. As a result, anytime I actually make something that tastes good and doesn't completely ruin the kitchen, I'm pretty ecstatic.

On that note, let me bring your attention to my new food blog obsession, The Smitten Kitchen. Deb writes in such a way that actually inspires me to cook. It also doesn't hurt that she takes the most beautiful photos of her food. While stalking looking through her blog I found a recipe for pumpkin bread pudding. Well I like bread, I like pumpkin, and well I like bourbon in my food hehe.... how difficult can this be?

After a, cough, EXPENSIVE shopping trip to the supermarket. Apparently buying multiple spices, milk, eggs, and a pan add up to a lot of money when you need to buy them all at the same time. Note to self, keep basic cooking ingredients in the house, it helps motivate you to cook. =P Once all the necessary items made it to my kitchen, I went on my own personal cooking adventure.

I learned that when it says use a "whisk" you just need to suck it up, go to the store, and buy a whisk.
It may not be pretty, but it certainly tastes yummy
This recipe is seriously "do-able" and tastes so so good. I served the pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and not to toot my own horn or anything, it was quite the hit. ;)

xoxo,
Tammy

Oh wow! Pumpkin bread pudding! I think I've died and gone to heaven. I get bread pudding at any restaurant that serves is (which isn't many) and pairing that up with pumpkin? Divine!

BTW I'm guest posting about mommy fashion over at The Short and the Sweet of It this morning. You should stop by if you get a second =)
