So You Want to Start a Blog

Hi, and a big *welcome* if this is your first time here. :)
I know there are a lot of newbies today who hopped over from Story of My Life, thanks for stopping by. On that note, I think today is a good time to share a little more about me, my love, and our life in San Diego.

I have enjoyed reading blogs for the past few years. Honestly, I really wanted to start a blog, but what would I write about? Did I really have that much to say? Would anyone really care? The whole concept was pretty daunting.

While we were going through the torture home renovation process Nadav started throwing around the idea of starting a blog about our renovation. I was really really excited and happy about that, but at that time we were both too mentally and physically drained to start a blog. After the worst part of hell renovation was behind us we did actually start the blog. The first few posts were all about our renovation, the changes we made to the house, and the ones we hoped to make in the future. You can even see our home before and after photos here. Those posts were fun, and I loved that we worked on them together.

Over the past few months a few things soon became pretty clear
1) I was the one doing most of the blogging (and really, that's just fine with me. I really love blogging and all the new ideas, friends, and inspiration it has brought into my life)
2) We needed to take a mental and physical break from home renovations and interior design
3) I really just like to blog about the stuff that makes me happy. At this point, blogging about our lives, the fun things we do, fashion, yummy food, and traveling is what feels right. For now, blogging about our home just isn't as fun. Don't worry though I'm sure you'll see more about our house sooner than later. ;)

Thanks for coming by my little piece of the blogworld, hope you enjoyed your stay.
Hope everyone has a FABULOUS Friday, and a restful/fun weekend :)

xoxo,
Tammy

Home renovations are a HUGE commitment/project/headache... I much prefer to watch people go through them than do one myself :) I love befores and afters and watching the process! I also love San Diego... lived here since I was 4.

I'm happy that you blog & that I found it :) I just started a few weeks ago and wondered those same things...I figure, if people don't want to read what I have to say, then don't! Otherwise, blog on! :)

I think everyone has those fears when starting to blog. I know my first post was published after some wine-courage :)

We bought a 100 year old house 4 years ago. Luckily, my husband is a carpenter. Living in a constant state of mess and renovation can be frustrating, but the rewards are worth it.

New follower. Good luck on your blogging journey.

It's funny how much what we initially began to blog about changes. It was the same for me - except I first started blogging to keep my family up-to-date with my latest doings when I moved away to Colorado, and a year later I'm still blogging but about so much more. I love it! I think you should just let your blog naturally begin to reflect you - just as you're doing :)
