Tender Greens

What can I say about Tender Greens besides the fact that it is the booombbbbbbbbbb
(yes I just went there, and I'm ok with it =P).
No really though, Tender Greens is one of my absolute favorite places to eat in San Diego.

All of their produce is naturally grown (eh not sure what that means but it sounds like a good thing? how is this different from organic? =P) and locally grown (I do know and like what that means). Their beef comes from grain-fed hormone/antibiotic free cows, they serve free range chicken, and their tuna is caught in the Pacific.

The point is, Tender Greens uses high quality products and it's clear in the taste of all of their food.

Tender Greens is the type of place we like to take visitors. The restaurant itself is beautiful and hip, in an understated way. They even have a sweet outdoor area with heat lamps, and comfy benches/chairs complete with cozy pillows.

I like to order to Chinese Chicken Salad, the Mediterranean Salad or my favorite the salted pepper chicken with their ridiculously good mashed potatoes. To top it all off, their desserts are just... sinful (yup that sums it up).

Now check out some pictures of the goods, wait I mean food....

Salt and pepper chicken

Ahi tuna, yummy mashed potatoes, fabulouuusss mushrooms, and ya I'll stop there

Salt and pepper steak

Yup, it tasted as good as it looked

Ok ok enough.. wipe off the drool and have a great day :)

P.S. I'll be posting my weekly Happy List tomorrow. Feel free to post your own Happy List and linkup

Wow, all of that food looks sooo sooo good. If I'm every in that area I'll have to visit. My dream is to walk on a farm and buy all my produce, dairy, and meat from all the healthy animals and farm land that you can SEE. Our here our farms look like jails. You don't see anything with the occasional cow knee deep in it's own muck. That sounds tasty doesn't it? lol

Wow, the food looks REALLY good! Sometimes, food looks good, but it's not anything I'd ever eat. I can honestly say I'd eat everything pictured here. All in one sitting. Right now.

Now, I just gotta get to San Diego.... :)
