Successful Kitchen Adventures: Crisp Salted Oatmeal White Chocolate Cookies

Friday night the boy was gone,
Oprah's life class was on,
and I had the sudden urge to bake some cookies.
(This urge is not a normal occurrence in my day to day life)

I went straight to my favorite recipe blog The Smitten Kitchen and decided on this recipe for crisp salted oatmeal white chocolate cookies. The cookies turned out soooooo good.

I picked out this recipe originally because I thought these cookies might be a *teensy* bit healthier because they are "oatmeal" cookies. After adding oohh almost 2 sticks of butter to the bowl, I became very aware that oatmeal does NOT equal healthy. Ooohh why does butter make things taste so good? Answer me Paula Deen, answer me pleaseeee.

Give these babies a try, they were so so yummy
And really now, if I can make them.... trust me, you can too =P
Check out The Smitten Kitchen while you're at it too, Deb shares so many great recipes complete with beautiful photos that really help motivate you (cough me) to cook.

Just a reminder, on November 13 I will be hosting the San Diego/SoCal Blogger Meetup with these lovely ladies:
Olivia of Olivia.Dee

We would love it if you could join us, and we already have some amazing sponsors lined up that will be donating raffle prizes, goody bags, and sweets! :)

Have a wonderful day my lovelies :)

One of my favorite things as a child (and even today) is watching cookies rise in an oven. These looks soooo good!

These look yum! I have to admit I don't recognize you, but I have the WORST memory. What year did you graduate? Wish I could come to the meetup, but I'll be in LA for a friend's birthday next weekend. Going through your blog archives. Love it!
