Oh, And The Kitchen Renovation

The Kitchen,
Before....

Scary right?

Don't worry we definitely knocked down this wall!

And got rid of ALL the wall paper
The linoleum floors went away,
and we got ourselves some new counter tops
Notice the mold in the above picture? "Cough"
And the refrigerator was.. missing?
The dishwasher? Never even existed hehe

 and now the
After...

Ha. Just a teensy bit different right?

I was adamant about having a green wall in the kitchen.
No really, I informed the boy that there would no compromise, the green wall had to be there.
(Naturally, I won hehe)

Remember that scary wall with the door, weird window, and wall paper? Yup that used to be right here

New floors and new appliances

We couldn't afford to completely open up the floor plan and put in an island, which is what we'd really like to do one day. Instead, we opted to paint all the cabinets and change out all the hardware.

Over the years...

And just to break it down a bit for you a little more...
And really help you visualize how thing have changed

I would say the change is pretty drastic,
we did it all on a pretty tight budget
(we bought all the appliances last year around Thanksgiving/Christmas time and they were all ridiculous deals),
and we're happy with the end result....
for now.

xoxo,
Tamms

Great transformation! Knocking out a wall can do wonders to a room. I really like how you did the side by side before and after shots too. Your new entrance way is gorgeousssssss as well.

Just found your blog through Story of My Life and I was immedately drawn to the renovations posts. I recently renovated my great-grandmother's house (the reason why I started my blog, but then never seemed to post about it). Great pictures and such an amazing difference!
