Inside Our Living Room

It's been awhile since I've done any updates on our renovations and it's definitely time I change that..

This is our Living Room Before

(and yes I am VERY aware that our house was in horrendous shape when we bought it hehe)

and this is our living room after....

We knocked down that awkward semi room divider planter thing..

Changed out the stinky, old, dirty carpet for new floors.

(Unfortunately, the new reddish color of the floors is a very sore subject in my life. I want light tan pretty floors... sighhh)

Purchased a new sliding glass door

Installed a new fan and lighting

Painted the walls

And knocked down the weird wall that leads into the kitchen, but more on the kitchen later

Our living room, and house, continues to be a work in progress. At this point though I'm getting more content with the way the living room looks so I figured it was the right time to share an update.

We're still looking for a long, modern, and sleek TV stand that can hide away the boy's 50 gaming systems (ok more like 7 gaming systems, but really 7 is a lot hehe). Any suggestions for where to buy an affordable and modern TV stand?

Thanksgiving Photo Recap

Nadav and I spent a lovely Thanksgiving weekend with my parentals in Orange County. My entire extended family lives abroad and as a result, I grew up spending holidays with close family friends. This Thanksgiving was no different. The food was booommbbb and it's always fun to catch up with so many people that have always treated me like family.

A Very Black Friday

My Lovelies,
Hope you spent a wonderful and yummy Thanksgiving with the people you love.
I'm oh so happy and thankful that I am spending the next few days with my parents and Nadav in Orange County. We just wish my brother was here too. (He lives in Santa Barbara and works as a supervisor at Best Buy, which means his work schedule is complete madness right now.)

My first instinct was to find myself a cute LBD, but I thought I would challenge myself to make something a little different this week.

Fulfill a Christmas Wish for an Orphan

My sweet friend and incredible photographer Karina Irene has fallen in love with a group of kids at an orphanage in Mexico. She's now on a mission to fulfill a Christmas wish for each and every child at the orphanage.

Karina took the time to ask each child what they wanted for Christmas. Most of the kids asked for such simple things like clothes, shoes, and sometimes a simple toy like a Spider Man action figure or a Hot Wheels car.

Happy Thanksgiving to All of You

Those Unnecessary Things I'm Thankful For

Last week I posted a list of 10 Meaningful Things that I am most thankful for.

This week I thought I'd lighten up the mood a bit, and share a list of unnecessary things I'm oh so thankful for. First and foremost, I'm thankful that I have the ability to enjoy these things.

1. A good blow dry
2. Voluspa candles
3. That new car smell
4. A laptop that works.... most of the time
5. A washer and dryer in our home
6. A dishwasher in our home. I know what it's like to not have one, and it's not fun hehe
7. Awesome boot camp, zumba, pilates, and yoga classes I attend multiple times each week
8. AG Stevie Jeans, I swear they kind of feel like pajamas or workout pants
9. My Canon T1i and Canon Speedlite Flash
10. My beach cruiser and life at the beach

The above 10 things are fun or my make my life a little bit easier, but there's nothing more important than health, the love and support of family and friends, and shelter.

Pretty Porches, Swings, and Other Things...

Over the weekend our new front door was installed. Hooray! Within the next few weeks, we'll order a new garage door and paint the exterior of the house. Let me tell you, the current paint is in REALLY bad shape, it's bright yellow and chipping everywhere.

We're also trying to decide what color to paint the exterior of the house and the front door. I think we'll end up painting the house a tan neutral color and painting the front door a bright color like red or green.

Any suggestions? I'd love to hear your ideas and opinions on this matter
