The Quiet Kind

I spent a few weeks asking Nadav what he wanted to do for his birthday…
Do you want to go out?
Should we go to a nice dinner?
Maybe I could invite friends over?
I can surprise you….?
Nope, nope, and nope.

Nadav loves his nephew a lot, and this is what he wanted to do for his birthday…
Can't blame the guy right?

So we spent Nadav's birthday with family, and it was lovely…

Saturday we had fancy plans to go to Sea World during the day and then go out at night, butttt it was rainy, cold, and windy.
I am a firm believer that rainy, cold, and windy days who be spent cuddling on the couch… and that’s exactly what we did. Actually it was a little out of control, we watched movies all day and only got up once to pick up Mexican food.
(Speaking of which has anyone seen the movie "The Descendants"? I really loved it.)

Sunday we dragged our butts out of the house and met up with my parentals in San Juan Capistrano for a little brunch and touristy shenanigans.

At a rest stop on the way home

My boyfriend is a good man.
You know the type of man who values his family and his friends,
the type of man who you want to take home to meet your parents.
I’m a lucky girl.

Don't worry, even though we had a mellow weekend, I still spoiled Nadav with a sweet gift (cough a nice underwater digital camera) for all the snorkeling/kayaking/beachy adventures we'll embark on this summer.

Have a Happy Day Friends :)

P.S. It's the last day to enter Fawn & Flora giveaway. Have you entered yet?
P.P.S. The Shine Event San Diego is this Saturday at Mission Beach. Will you be there?

My heart is melting over here! I love when men have a sensitive side and enjoy spending time with their families, especially with their little nieces and nephews! It's always a good feeling to know you've got a good man by your side :)

I love San Juan Cap. Such a cute little area. That rain sure did SUCK!

The Shine event sounds great but I literally (like within the past 2-3 weeks) started finding a lot of the more local ladies of blogging land... so not sure I am quite ready to throw myself at you all yet! I hope it's a great time, though. :)
