Paint N Vineyards

Let me just put this out there, I am kind of a horrendous painter.
Seriously, when Nadav and I moved into our house I tried to help paint the walls and somehow there was always more paint on my clothing and hair than on the walls. I tried to blame it on the paint brushes, but I think it was just me... oh well ;)
At some point, I convinced Nadav to hire a painter, now we have pretty walls (woop woop).
Happy endings are always nice hehe

Anyway, when I found out about Paint N Vineyards I was a little hesitant about the whole painting thing, but the "vineyards" part of the company name helped ease my hestiation. That's why Friday night I met up with some of my favorite bloggers for a little painting and vine-ing at Paint N Vineyards...and it was SOOO much fun.

We had such a great time learning how to paint a featured painting at Paint N Vineyards. Our instructor provided us with easy step-by-step instructions. Added bonus: all paint, brushes, apron, canvas, and easel are included.

Marie from 12 Signs Wine made sure our cups were filled throughout the entire class.

She has 12 different wines, and each wine is representative of a different zodiac sign. I'm a cancer, hoollllaaa.

There were lots and lots of yummy things to snack on, and these cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes?? I seriously died (and ate way too many). They were so moist, the icing was the ish, and they were just sooooo good.

Andrea and her masterpiece

Jeff, our instructor was so awesome. He broke down each step, was so patient with our excessive wine drinking questions, and really made us feel so comfortable.

We celebrated Kelsey's birthday with a little bundt cake
Am I the only person who thinks of the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" every time I hear the words "bundt cake"? Just sayin...

One of the best parts of the night? Finding out that each of our paintings turned out beautifully, but they were all a little different. SO MUCH FUN.

Apparently I missed the memo that said " for this photo bring your painting down below your nose"tehehe

Jess was very proud of her masterpiece

SoCal Blogger Girls, like I always say... we do amazing things together

We had soo much fun, and I am so excited to return to Paint N Vineyards for another night of painting and wine.

Special thanks tooo
Paint N Vineyards for hosting us. We really had a great experience at your studio!
Jeff for showing me that I can actually paint when provided step by step instructions and some "help" when I made mistakes hehe
12 Signs Wine for having such yummy wine and keeping our glasses full throughout the class
Karina Irene for taking the most incredible photographs and sharing them with all of us (we love having you as part of our group!)

Wishing everyone a sweet week.
As for me, I'm on spring break woop woop...
I'll still be posting everyday but the posts might come a little later in the day this week.

Awee this looks like so much fun and all of your paintings ended up freaking awesome! Haha there was a hidden painter inside of you after all. And I love the wine concept with the zodiac signs. And a glass that's filled throughout the night is always a plus in my book haha. And those little bundt cakes look and sound delicious! And yes I always think about 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' when I think of bundt cakes too haha. Anyway it looks like you all had so much fun! I hope I can go to a so-cal blogger meet up someday. I mean San Diego isnt too far from LA after all!

how fun is that! i am a terrible terrible terrible artist... like i shouldn't even call myself an elementary school teacher because everyone assumes i'm a great artist. my students even call me out on my terrible drawings.

I've been looking for a place like this in San Diego forever now! Back home there's Canvases and Cocktails and I so badly wanted them to have a location in SD. So thank you for sharing and I will definitely be going there soon!

As far as the bundt cakes go, yes, My Big Fat Greek Wedding for sure! My fiance and I are actually having those bittybundts from Nothing Bundt Cakes as the desserts for our wedding this year! They're too delicious and too cute to pass up!

Can I tell you how much I want to do this? I have a ton of friends that have done it in their respective cities and I'm SO incredibly jealous. I suck at painting but I think my abstract art would be awesome ;)
