I'm a tidbit afraid of heights, which means I am completely in awe of people who get in a plane and do all kinds of crazy tricks. It's just madness to me... well madness that I really enjoy watching, when it's in the form of an air show ;)
Nadav's brother is a pilot in the air force (fancy right?), and last weekend we checked out the airshow at his reserve base. It was quite the lovely (and hot) day. We played with Nadav's nephew the entire day, spent time with family, took in the show, checked out some planes, and got sunburned (what's new? =P).
Does any one else get emotional when patriotic songs are played at air shows? Maybe that's just me =P

Oh you know.. just hanging out (under a plane)
Yes we're aware, he looks like he could be our kid.. but he's not haha
Nadav's sister-in-law and I. We kinda like each other =P
So thankful for my freedom.
Wishing you a happy and meaningful week

Your nephew is so cute!!! :) And I love your pony tail. :)
love the pictures :) What a great way to spend a weekend!
Happy Monday!
I use to be slightly freaked out by planes, but not so much anymore. I definitely know its a common fear! That's pretty cool you all got to hang out underneath and explore around the plane. My son would love that!:)
What a cool thing to go see! I live in a fairly small town in Virginia and there are no air shows really close by. Thanks for sharing with us. :)
Your nephew is so sweet and I'm glad you and the sister-in-law click!
I love air shows! I was bummed I missed the Blue Angels' show this year in my hometown. It's pretty amazing.

That's awesome, I love air shows! The best one I've ever seen was in Seattle over Lake Washington. The Blue Angels were there. Total goose bumps. And you're not alone with tearing up to the national anthem...I always do!! It's a moment. ;)
Hope your Monday is off to a great start!

I always tear up when I hear patriotic songs! Especially in any kind of military context - one of my dear friends is over in Afghanistan now, I'm so proud of him!
Amazing pics!!
I get emotional when I hear patriotic songs! I went to the first Texans game of the season last season...which just so happened to be on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and they had 1st responders come out on the field and they did special things before the game....I was a blubbering mess! Haha
hahha love that face!
Hubby and I love to watch airshows. Unfortunately, here in MI we do not have it this year (that's what I have heard). Great shots thanks for sharing!
