Last weekend we celebrated Olivia's birthday.... and it was quite the epic experience.
Olivia booked a Social Cycle bike contraption for us and we "grabbed our boys, grabbed our girls, and we were gonna get crazyyyy" (haha just kidding.. kinda)
We met in North Park which is deemed the "hipster" part of San Diego at 10am on a Saturday morning (Olivia did I mention that we love you, you weren't messing around with that 10am business), hopped on the bike contraption, and
I would venture to say that it was one of the most fun things I've done in awhile.
Apparently there's something about riding around a neighborhood at 10am, blasting rap music, and drinking at bars that makes a Saturday morning kind of wonderful.
Ashley getting close to the Social Cycle tap
Mimosas for me and a bloody mary bar for Nadav
Enjoying ourselves...
If you're in San Diego you gotta check out Social Cycle for your next fun shenanigans. These bike contraptions can't help but put you in a fabulous mood.
And on that note, it has been brought to my attention that the city of San Diego is threatening to remove Social Cycle's license. Social Cycle needs your help, sign this petition and help this awesome small business remain in San Diego. And in case you are wondering... no, you are not allowed to drink alcohol while on the bike contraption and yes there is a driver on board that is hired by Social Cycle and sober. =)
Hope your Monday is a good one... (cough is it seriously Monday??)

P.S. Find out a little more about me on Amira's and Amanda's blogs today too

so jealous! glad you guys all had fun! let's try to get together soon!
So jealous of this! I saw a group having way too much fun once when I was in Minneapolis on one of those things and have wanted to go on one ever since! The closest I have ever come is taking a duffy for a ride with some friends in Newport and that was pretty fun.. even though we got PULLED OVER. Yes, by the police. Who knew you could get pulled over in the bay as well as you could on the road. I guess drinking and driving a duffy is illegal as well? Good to know.
What fun!!! I'm going to have to check out Social Cycle.

What a great idea! Looks like a fantastic birthday celebration!
UMMMM what?!?! This looks awesome. Oklahoma would never have something like this. But maybe I'll rent one for myself when I come visit in August. HA!
That. Looks. Like. So much fun!! Next time I'm in San Diego I think I may just need to gather some friends so we can ride that thing! I didn't even know anything like that existed!
im confused and amazed at the same time! just signed the petition So I can find out for myself :)
As if you ladies didn't already have me vying to live in SD (or at least nearer to you all!), this has me over the moon! Such a fun and amazing idea. Maybe I just start this business out in the NC area...I'm sure it'd catch on :)
these are such good pictures! we had so much fun (:
considering how loud and obnoxious, i mean FUN, we were, i'm not surprised they are talking about removing the license..
but i say BS on that ish!
This looks AMAZING!!! What an awesome way to celebrate a birthday!
