So we indulged, we relaxed, we ate delicious food, and it was
marvelous.
Have I mentioned that I am pretty much obsessed with Palm Springs? Cause I am.
Wellll, obsessed enough to visit frequently, not obsessed enough to live there. I wouldn't trade living by the beach in San Diego for anything.
1) Stay in Palm Springs, and not in Desert Hot Springs.. it will save you gas money
2) Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT try and go on a hike at 9am when it is 98 degrees. You will end up whiny and look pissed off in every picture. =P
3) Eat at Spencer's. The restaurant is literally on the mountain and has the best ambiance.
4) Sunblock, lots of sunblock
5) Stepping away from your laptop and phone for the weekend feels oh so good and can be oh so good for your relationship.
6) I still get excited when I see the wind generators on the way to Palm Springs
7) Fruit that is sold on the street is the very best kind of fruit... especially when it's topped with salt, lime, and chile powder. Hellllls to the yes.
8) Getting away for the weekend is so so nice. So grateful =)
Wishing you a great week

Wow - It's been so long since I've been to Palm Springs. I need to make a weekend trip there soon. Great pics.
I love the salt/lime/spicy mix on mango. I went to high school with a lot of SE asian people and that is a popular snack which I got to enjoy A LOT.
Your vacation looks lovely...makes me want to get out of town for a few days :)

wow looks like so much fun! never tried fruit like that, but i hear it's really popular
That's so wonderful that you love living where you do so much! And the fruit looks fantastic! Yum.
Looks like a fantastic weekend! That mango looks AMAZING! I lived in Australia in college for a little while and I loved that you could get fresh fruit like that everywhere. Definitely something I miss about being on the East Coast!
that fruit looks awesome! and i'm usually opposed to fruit
oh how i would love to go to palm springs. i went there once for a Matrix Hair Convention. it was beautiful! i love windmills, its a weird obsession. love the photos!
Love love love! So glad you had a blast. I've never eaten at Spencer's, so now I have an excuse to go back haha.
this looks SO FUN! what is that ACE sign i swear everyone has a picture in front of it!!!
Funnn. I have never been to Palm Springs before, and it's crazy cause lately it feels like EVERYONE and their neighborhoods have been vacationing there. Wish I could sneak a weekend in before I leave for NY, but I'm afraid it may not happen. Someday! Glad you had some time to unwind :)
glad you enjoyed your time. LOVE Palm Springs, My aunt lives there are so lets me and my manfriend stay there whenever we feel the need to be in 115 degree weather.

Fun, looks like you had a great time! That fruit looks yummy.
I fell in love with the place a few weeks ago! Glad you survived the heat!

Raised in Palm Springs! Spencer's is SOO good and the Ace is such a fun pool to go to :]
I'm going there in two weeks for a bachelorette party and you just made me even more excited! I love your list and cute pictures. It looks like you both had a great time!
While hot weather may make you whiny, cold weather does the same to me. We are in winter at the moment and these photos of you in the sunshine make me want to cry I'm so cold! ha ha...look slike you had such a nice time away- I think the best weekend my husband and I ever had away was one with no mobiles, laptops, tvs- nothing!
Also love your cute red shoes ;-)

Things like this are why I miss living in California - the ability to hop in the car and go somewhere. In Vegas, driving an hour affords you nothing but a trip to the middle of the desert.
fun!!!
looks like you had a great weekend! I've only ever driven by Palm Springs, but I think my next trip to California may have to include a stop!
No way! Did you go there for the Resolved conference by any chance? I love eating at a place called Gorilla Burger.
can't wait- i'm going i august! :)
i loveee palm springs! i love the desert atmosphere and just feeling like i'm in this remote place where I can just relax and eat fresh fruit and sit by a pool...granted I haven't been in the summer. I don't think I would take it as well as you do. I was grumpy enough being in the coachella valley heat in april...though to my defense it was 98 by 7 am and 105 in the afternoon, so I feel I have reason enough haha.
I am jealous of your weekend. I've always wanted to visit palm springs and stay in one of those cool mid-century modern houses you can rent. Sigh. Lovely photos!
I haven't been to PS in so very long. I've not seen fruit sold in bags. It looks delish! Found you on Life Lately link. :)
