PEonies or is it Pe-O-onies?
Honestly, I can't quite figure out the correct way to pronounce the name of these beautiful flowers, but they are my favorite flowers. =P I love how they can brighten up a room, and the petals are so full and have so much texture.
Just check out these pretty colors...
I was lucky enough to attend a peonie foral arrangement class at Isari Flower Studio & Event Design, and the class was sooo much fun. Tam, the owner of Isari, is just plain awesome. She has an incredible eye for design, is such a great teacher, and is such a smart business woman (I greatly that a lot). Tam guided us through the best placement of each flower and corrected my mistakes was so helpful.
I really, really love the classes at Isari Flower Studio & Event Design and I bet you will too.
Check out their class list here, the next class is on June 13

How fun is that?! Loved this post (and generally, anything to do with fresh flowers)!
I've always found it hard to pick a favorite flower, but these would be pretty close to the top of my favorite list! They're beautiful! Such elegance and grace. Your arrangement turned out beautiful!
umm cool! you've been doing some really neat things lately lady!
how could that beautiful bouquet not put a smile on your face. its gorgeous!
Oh my gosh, what a fun event!! I love your bouquet!! Peonies (PEonies in my experience) are one of my very favorites and I've just discovered that they are blooming in my garden (the perks of buying a house w/an established garden, surprises come up in the spring).
how fun! i would love to learn how to arrange flowers better! and i'm totally in love with peonies lately!
Mmm I love peonies! And by the way, it's been awhile since I visited your blog (for some reason I wasn't a follower...weird). Anyway, I LOVE your layout right now!! It is so fitting! I need to splurge and have a profession do mine!
They are beautiful!!! Those classes look like so much fun :)
Ohmygosh. How pretty!! I love peonies too. They are the perfect flower. Not too formal, not too simple.
your arrangement turned out amazing! peonies are my favorite too!
this is too cool! and i agree with Nic, you have been doing a whole lot of awesome things little lady (:
I emphasize the O because saying it the other way sounds borderline naughty and makes me giggle. :)
omgosh im sooo signing up! i worked for a florist in highschool and being around flowers just makes life a little more cheery! plus solana beach is the cutest! will you be at the june 13 class?!
I've always emphasized the E, but however you say it they're still gorgeous! :)
I think it's PEonies :) and they're my favorite flower! We have white ones growing in our yard and I anticipate their sweet smell all winter long! Beautiful photos...loving the colors!
peonies are the best! Such a fun, pretty, springtime flower :) I love these photos!
i've always said it PEonies. and i am well-versed in all things flower-related, so i would know.
(in reality, i know the names of aBOUT 4 flowers.)
i would LOVE to take a flower arrangement class! peonies are my fave... i've heard it pronounced both ways, but i say it pe-O-nies, personally.
I'm so jealous! PeOnies (how I pronounce it) are one of my favorite flowers. I love their texture! I would love to take a class there!

How fun!
Those flowers are so gorgeous.
I'm glad you had a nice time in the class.
Have I ever told you that peonies are my FAVORITE flowers?! Bet I did. Can I please come over and get some quality time with you, a bike ride on the beach and those flowers?! I am jealous. Oh so jealous :)
I am sincerely jealous. I would love to take a class like that. I'd probably sell my house the next day to open a floral shop, but still it'd be fun! ;)
Oh my gosh. Whichever way it's pronounced...I love those flowers!! I would love to have them as my only wedding flower. I just wish they weren't so 'spensive.
I'm sure a million girls agree - but I just love peonies! Floral design classes are my favorite - and one of those little skills that bring happiness again and again.
my favorite tooooo! and i emphasize the E when i pronounce it. but i also vote for just mumbling it so no one knows the difference.
Your peony arrangement is beautiful! I would love to take a class but $150!! Geeze!
