You know that gross feeling you get when you've eaten wayyy too much, but you just couldn't help it because the food was just too good... so you just kept on eating and kept on eating.
Well, you don't get that feeling at True Food Kitchen at the Fashion Valley Mall, and it's not because you won't eat too much. Trust me, you will.
True Food Kitchen's mission is to make healthy food taste (and look) good. It's really an awesome concept, and to top it off they also practice sustainability and buy local. (Two things I believe really believe in).
Last weekend, Nadav and I had the opportunity to try TFK before it opened to the public and we had the best time. The food was so so good, but not in that I can taste how healthy this is way, the drinks were fabulous, and the service was excellent (shout out to our waiter Mike Z.). We really enjoyed ourselves... and I didn't feel like a total fatty when we left. Ok I may or may not have left a tid bit on the tipsy side, but I definitely didn't feel like a fatty and yes I ate way too much. =P
I really loved the open feel of the restaurant, there is absolutely no divider between the kitchen and the seating area. Beautiful, right?
Just some lovin.... and learning how to adjust the settings on my camera so the lighting looks better. It's a process, ya know? =P
Some watermelon mint water to sip on and my new favorite drink, a Retail Therapy. If you're going to a True Food Kitchen, make sure you order one... they don't mess around.
And for dinner grilled steelheed salmon, red chili shrimp, strawberry rhubarb crisp, and flourless chocolate cake. All ridiculously good. Ok lets be honest... the flourless chocolate cake, a little too good.
If you're in San Diego make sure you check out True Food Kitchen. It's a good time =)
Now raise your hand if you're still recovering from 4th of July Festivities and have to go to work today...
Wamp wamp, is it Friday at 4pm yet?
