A Kerfuffle.

So Saturday night started like this...

And ended a little something like this at one of my favorite Downtown San Diego bars Barleymash...
Ok lies. It technically ended at Burgerlounge where I only ate the whipped cream off of my shake, Gila and I made some friends, we rapped the Fresh Prince theme song (on gasp video), and Nadav picked us up at 3:30am (best boyfriend ever).

But problem, we had serious girly plans for a Sunday. A massage at 1pm, happy hour, shopping and an evening at the theater. So we I (ok serious lightweight over here) struggled off the couch, forced myself to function, and made it to the spa... which was glorious. Big upps to Rock Spa. The spa is beautiful, our massages were wonderfullll, and the amenities were awesome.
(And who knew sitting in the sauna is the best cure ever for a hangover?!)

Post massage glow.

And just a little Mexican yumminess at La Puerta before we went to the theater.
Conclusion about La Puerta: guacamole SO GOOD, Gila's drink SO GOOD, burritos and quesadila were so-so. If you're in the area I would definitely check out their happy hour for appetizers and drinks, but maybe avoid the entrees. They just didn't do it for me. =P
Gila and I have that special kind of friendship.. you know the kind where we see each other every few months, talk every few weeks, but always reconnect and always have the best time together. I say we're pretty lucky =)

Gila, I miss you! Come visit soon
