Adventures In Taking Outfit Photos With My Boyfriend

I will be the first to say that Nadav is very supportive of my blogging. He's happy that I have found a hobby I love and his computer nerdiness comes in very handy when I need html and Photoshop help. And then every once in awhile I ask him to take outfit photos for me. Sometimes he's "just not in the mood", but I whine he does it.

Friday evening we decided to take a bike ride around Mission Bay. I asked Nadav to take some outfit photos for me. Here's how the conversation went...

Me: Hey Babe, can you take a picture of my shoes?
Nadav: Uhhhhh do I have to?
Me: Uhm yes. And get down towards the ground, like move your body down so you're at the same angle as them.
Nadav: Why do I have to get down?
Me: Because you just do.
Nadav: Ok fine, I got your shoes.
And no, I did not edit those photos one bit =P
Me: Ok, I kinda think the sun is shining on me, am I in the shade?
Nadav: **looks through pictures** You're fine.
Cough

Nadav: Ok now jump or do a back flip or something
Me: You know I don't know how to do a backflip
Nadav: Ok just jump then
**I start jumping**
Nadav: I didn't catch you jump, keep jumping, keep jumping, keep jumping.
**He looks through pictures**
Nadav: Nope didn't get it. Keep jumping

I love my boyfriend ;)

And just in case you're wondering... this is what I wore that night at the Bay
Top: Target (really old, and hmm not so flattering =P), Jeans: Joe's Jeans, Shoes: Avarcas USA

Hahah you're too cute Tammy! I love the dialogues between you and your boyfriend, and they sound like exactly something my boy would say! Those shoes are totally worth having those conversations. :)

Nadav is hilarious. And I actually love all of the photos he took of you. I have no one available to me to take outfit photos. But I don't really wear outfits worthy of photos anyhow so it all works out.

This is hilarious. While Rob and I were in Disneyland, I made him take a million pictures of me solo (I can't stand how I look in solo pictures) but I would get so frustrated when there would be a little detail I didn't like (that he failed to mention or see). Lol the things we put our men through. Although I do secretly wish he were a photographer so he knew how to snap a photo or two of me! LOL

You're too cute! I always get weird in front of my husband when he (lovingly) takes photos for the blog, but partially because I am a) not a model (duh) and b) feel like I'm a big faker, so it's always an adventure! He's such a huge support too, and aims to make me laugh during the whole thing (which usually results in some great shots) :) Looks like you're enjoying what's left of summer! We've got great guys!

I'm still too...nervous?...to ask the husband to photograph my outfits. For some reason, I just feel so silly! I know he would understand and probably indulge (at least for the first couple of times!), but I just haven't quite gotten the courage ;)

Such a silly feeling since he's my HUSBAND!

I agree with Kristin. I get so nervous when Tim takes my pictures. He doesn't love doing it, and he wants it to be over quickly. He gets worried someone will see him and wonder what the heck he's doing. And not like I would have to feel weird at all. But I love that he seemed to open up and start getting excited about it!

Ha! I've had the conversation sooo many times. "Can you take my picture?" "Do I have to?" "No, you don't have to be a good husband at all."

haha this reminds me when the lady i nanny for came home all annoyed and was like "libby, can you take a picture of my shoes and show mick the pic?" (mind you these were $1000 sandals, i was there when they arrived and saw the $999 receipt in the box)..i was confused, she didnt explain anymore and i took a pic like any GIRL would do! aka just like you explain, on level with the shoes, got the whole shoe in the pic and nothing else etc, haha. then she says "HERE MICK, THIS IS HOW!". she then shows me mick's attempt at the shoe pic and it was basically just like yours but worse! ;)
