Currently.

Currently.

Amazed by this place I get to call my home. Oh San Diego I love you so.

Wearing To Work:
1) J. Crew sweater (similar), Madewell flannel (similar), Joes Jeans
2) Gap Flannel (similar), Lucky Brand Jeans, Dirty Laundry boots (similar)

Thankful for Nadav. I don't tell him enough, but he really makes my world go 'round.

Reading: Well I'm really trying to get into The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, buttt I'm struggling. I'm going to stick with it for a few more days and then move on to another novel. ;) Anyone else feel the same way about this book? I almost feel guilty not liking it because everyone I've spoken to loved it.

Watching: Breaking Amish. I've always been fascinated by the Amish and this show brings all the drama to the yard. I love learning about their culture and beliefs.

Thinking About: My parents and how much I miss them. I know they're only about an hour away, but I really wish I spent more time with them. I am going to be better about visiting more often. (Did you catch that mom? =P)
Also, thinking about Halloween and how I still haven't decided on a costume. Typical and basically happens each Halloween. Every year I go through my closet at the last minute and put together something cute. Now, what to dress up as this year? Decisions, decisions. What are you going to be for Halloween?

Making Me Happy: Sigh, the dolphins at Sea World. No really, I'm obsessed. I get it, it's not exactly normal for a 20-something female to hang out at Dolphin Point by herself on a Sunday for 5 hours. I spent a few hours at Sea World on Sunday afternoon and I definitely bonded with the new baby dolphin at Sea World, Connie. We spent some time playing together on Sunday and it basically made my life weekend.

Baking: The yumminess above. I also may have eaten a gross amount of raw cookie dough before I decided to bake the cookies, oops. But really, what if I had burned the cookies? Disastrous, and the cookie dough would have totally gone to waste. It's clearly a very good thing I ate so much of it. #IReallyHopeIDon'tGetSalmonella

Loving: All of you. :) Seriously, your comments and emails make my world a better place. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read my blog and connect with me.

Looking Forward To: Growing, changing, learning and becoming the person I want and was meant to be. Does anyone else get really reflective in the fall? Maybe it's the start of the new school year... or all those yoga classes I've taken lately? Either way, I'm feeling very reflective these days =P

I started watching Breaking Amish last week and then I saw a bunch of articles as to how it's all fake. One guy was married and divorced outside of the church and arrested several times for domestic abuse - the 'couple' are actually already married and have a child together - I was disappointed :(

How far are you into the girl with the dragon tattoo?! The first ohhh 100-150 pages were pure torture! I powered through because I had heard such great things and I'm so glad I did! it gets really good, you just have to power through the boring backstory!

and I've been watching breaking amish since it came out because I'm also fascinated by their culture, but after reading about how much of the show is false, I've been left disappointed :(

My brother read that book. I remember he complained about it forever because head a hard time getting through, but ended up liking it. One of my friends also loved it, but yeah she's a Scandinavian Studies major so that may be why. I have no interest in reading it though. Whoops!

And I will be discussing Halloween with you today on G Chat.

Pretty photos, all three of em. Oh and those cookies look really good! I'm with you about being reflective. I've been pretty reflective and just genuinely thankful for a lot of things these past few months, seems like I have been a bit sentimental too.

You're not the only one who sits hours at the dolphin tanks. I absolutely love them. They're such peaceful creatures!

There is no such thing as a gross amount of raw cookie dough. Any amount is DELICIOUS. Raw eggs, eh we've survived a lot worse I'm sure. Haha

First: WOW. That is a gorgeous opening photo.
Second: I've heard a lot of people say they had trouble with the first 100 pages of GWTD but ended up loving it. I didn't mind the first 100 pages because I was a journalism major and am fascinated by libel haha, but I would stay stick with it at least through page 200!

I tried out The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and couldn't get into it. I picked it up because everyone was raving about it, but I felt like it was kind of difficult to read and it was just odd. So you aren't alone!!

Breaking Amish!! I'm so obsessed. I can tell it's fake, just from what I know of Amish culture. But either way, I love it. The Amish are my favorite reason for living in Ohio :)
