After taking part in the obligatory Jewish ritual of Chinese food on Christmas, Nadav and I were inspired to explore one of our very favorite places in San Diego.
The view we were blessed with as we crossed the bridge to Coronado Island. Incredible, right?
The Hotel del Coronado is (always) so beautiful, but it's really special during Christmas. The entire hotel is decorated, everything just feels a little bit magical, and there's a beachfront ice skating rink!? I know, I know San Diego is the ish.
One of the many beachy themed Christmas trees at the Hotel Del
If you're in San Diego make sure you check out the Hotel del Coronado before all of this holiday wonderfulness goes away.

a beachfront ice skating rink? does not compute! we're going ice skating tonight and it's so warm (in the high 40s) that even this feels weird :)
but WHAT a gorgeous sky!
Oh my gosh I want to skate on that rink!!!!
I only live a few hours from SD, and my father in law lives there, but I never get to visit! I know almost nothing about your city, so I always love seeing what places I have to visit when I do actually get to visit :)
Hope you have a wonderful new years my dear!

Joelle
I took my family there Christmas Eve just because I had heard how awesome the hotel is decorated at Christmas time. Plus I am a huge sucker for Christmas lights. We couldn't explore the inside of the hotel, but I really want to go back! Next time so I can check out that sunset view.
Love your Jewish ritual! I'm Jewish (I know, my last few posts are totally about Christmas because my dad is Catholic and so we celebrate Santa...because it's fun!) and we always joke Christmas day is for Chinese food and movie-going! Not so much these days that I have a toddler, but still. It made me laugh! Love the idea of a beachside skating rink!
We love the Del at Christmas! We went last year and were blown away by it's beautiful lights! Gene is deathly afraid of ice skating since he's never been before, but I think I'm going to get him to commit next year!
Ah... Coronado! Always so beautiful, but your sunset pictures outdid the norm.
Wow, that sky is amazing!! Magical!!
This post was so incredibly fun! I love all the pictures and I have never ever seen a Christmas tree that's beach themed! ( I live in the middle of Canada far away from oceanfront). Thank you for sharing some of your sights!
So bummed Brian and I didn't make it out to Coronado this year! It looks beautiful! Just adding this to next year's Christmas to-do list.
Cute!
