This Year I Will

I like to let the new year settle in for a bit before I start setting goals and intentions. Frankly, I'm not much for making New Year's resolutions. They seem a little too rigid for my taste. Goals, on the other hand, seem to leave room for improvement, flexibility, and growth.

So let's see here. This year I will...
Live with intention
Walk/jog/run/skip/cartwheel my way through a half-marathon
Live a more organized lifestyle
Take better care of myself (this whole being sick on-and-off for 2 months thing is getting really, really old)
Procrastinate less
Be the best fiance I can be
Live in the moment
Enjoy every single second I spend traveling this year
Cook 3-4 times a week
Take at least 2 yoga classes a month
Figure out where I want to take my blog in the next few years
Be more financially responsible
Improve my photography skills
Love on my family
Think before I talk/get crazy emotional hehe
Read more, watch less TV
Just really, really enjoy this whole "being engaged" thing =P
Be more assertive
Continue to exercise 3-4 times a week
Expand my occupational therapy skills
Be the best possible version of me

If you're interested, you can check out the goals I set last year here. Truth is, last year's goals are similar in a lot of ways to this year's goals.... and that's perfectly fine with me. Guess it just means I value certain things in life. =P
What do you strive for?
Hope you make all your dreams come true =)

actually, I think it's good that a lot of your goals are similar! it means that your goals aren't a flash in the pan - they're long-term intentions that take consistent thought and that you can always make progress on!

I love this post. These are super attainable goals. Mine are very similar especially the organized one.

Great goals! My goals usually end up being somewhat similar year to year as well...but I think it's important to keep striving for balance in life (which is what it looks like you are doing!).

I will try all on your list. Except the half marathon. Unless I could do it via elliptical. I hate running. I do 3 miles max and give myself an "A" for effort.

Love it! Hope we can do yoga together sooooon. :)

And I am trying so hard to be better organized lately. Pretty soon I will have to tackle the trunk of my car though, and that scares me.

Great goals! I'm hoping to do most of this myself.

Your goals are awesome. I moved recently and don't have cable anymore and therefore I watch like zero TV. I've been able to read and do a million other things without the TV. Good luck with that. I'm also hoping to do a half-marathon and I want to try yoga (I've never done it). Good luck on your goals! :)

Yes for the yoga! I need to get back into it myself. Good luck on achieving these goals!!!
