On Ave 5

A few weeks ago Nadav and I decided to go out of our comfort zone and try a restaurant we'd never been to before. We ended up at Ave. 5 in is Bankers Hill. Bankers Hill is another one of my favorite neighborhoods in San Diego, it's in the perfect location and has sooo many good restaurants.
But, none of these restaurants come anywhere close to the deliciousness that is Ave. 5.
Actually, I'm even going to go on a limb here and say that Ave. 5 is officially the BEST RESTAURANT I have ever been to in San Diego. It's seriously on a whole different level of deliciousness.

Nadav and I were blown away by every single thing we ate. 
The atmosphere and decor is hip, but in that relaxed San Diego kinda way. Our server Frank was wonderful, and have I mentioned how flipping delicious everything was?! =P

And then for dessert, a foodgasm deconstructed hazelnut s'more. One of the yummiest things I'm ever eaten, ever.

So for serious...
if you're looking for a special night out at a ridiculously good restaurant make your way to Ave. 5

Well after this review it's impossible not to be intrigued! Y'all eat out at restaurants so much! Lucky ;) We just went to Bertrand (Mister A's) on Sunday for an early Valentine's Day dinner...have you been? Super, super fancy and SO incredible. It's also in Bankers Hill. Happy Tuesday :)

Ave 5 looks like it's got some serious food porn!! San Diego is on my travel list, but until then, I guess my taste buds will just have to wait.

I'm tempted to go there and eat but I don't live in the US. Wish they have other branches worldwide. :)

Stop. You had me at "deconstructed hazelnut s'more." This is definitely not your campfire graham cracker and hershey bar kind of dessert.
