While I'm in Israel I asked some of my favorite blogger friends to cover for me. Here's Evani :)

Hi there Lemons, Avocados & The Bay readers!
I'm Evani and I blog over at Simply Evani. I'm so honored Tammy let me stop by to meet all of you! Much like Tammy, I recently got engaged to my fiancè Rob, my boyfriend of 7 years. I've met quite a few ladies, who have had long term boyfriends (anything from 1+ year to 10+years) and are tapping their toes, waiting for that ring. Now that I'm on the other side, (But DEFINITELY no expert, it took me 7 years!) here are a few pre-engagement thoughts.

Over at Simply Evani, I blog about good food, lots of wine and an occasional craft or baking project. I have a monthly link up called Let's Get Physical that's all about making a community of bloggers working on getting healthy. For all you engaged bloggers, I started a bi-weekly segment called To Have and To Hold which have included posts on attending your first bridal show and a peek at my bridal binder. I'm a big believer in having sushi on a weekly basis, enjoying Disneyland as an adult (I'm a BIG Disney enthusiast!) and trying to find my way through life post-college (which I still miss, 2 years later?!).
I'd love to have you stop by my blog and come say hi! Thanks for having me Tammy, hope you're having a fab time in Israel!

love this, and Evani!!
I just discovered her blog, since she is one of my best friend's best friend from college! Small world :)
I have been dating with my boyfriend for almost 7 years and no bigger life plans together. We live together but the talk of getting married or having kids freaks this 30-year-old guy totally! I(m not a crazy about the wedding either, but I would like to have a family someday. I would still say, you can hint for the things you want but never push :)
I wish I had enjoyed our engagement more, but I was consumed by our destination wedding! So, I encourage fiancés to enjoy every second!
Hahahaha! About the ring size, we were at a Forever21 once and I was trying on rings on my left index and middle finger. He asked me to try it on my ring finger too and asked what size I had on. LOL I also told my sister and mom what my size was. When I got my ring - no more resizing needed. It looked tiny when he took the ring out but it was really perfect!
After getting the ring, I found out that my mom and my mom in law met up when my mom came home to the Philippines to talk about the design of the ring and that was over 6 months before the proposal ;)

Yay I love Evani and her blog! For me, I totally knew I was ready because I had NO problems mentioning it to my then-boyfriend (now husband). And of course we went ring shopping together and in order to make sure he got the ring that I love, I drew him a picture.. which he then had the jeweler custom design a ring for me. That's love. And yes, I was borderline crazy. I've now calmed down a bit. :)

Love you, Ev! And I hope you're having an amazing trip to Israel, Tammy! :)
So great to see Evani here! Great tips, and that engagement photo is one of the cutest ever!
