As Of Late

I can't stop thinking about decorating our little beach bungalow and I've found so many inspiring homes on the internets. This home tour, this dining room, and this apartment are perfect. Dreammmmy

So you love the movie Anchorman? Duh, of course you do. Want to be an extra in Anchorman 2? Well, now's you chance.

This post cracked me up.

Well, I think I've lost it because I just agreed to take 1 carry on bag on our trip to Europe. No suitcase, just 1 CARRY ON BAG on a three and a half week trip. Have any of you done anything like that before? Any suggestions? What are the best things to pack? Any bag recommendations? We're researching carry-on bags right now. #Ahhhh

Yes, just yes.

Speaking of decorating. I love these pillows (!!), this cutting board (except I would want to hang it up on wall instead of actually using it for cutting =P), this glass pendant, and this web pendant lamp.

Cinco de Mayo is this weekend, and clearly I will be celebrating. I mean come on, I live in San Diego and Cinco de Mayo is kind of a big deal here. =P This shrimp guacamole recipe will be the perfect Cinco de Mayo treat.

It's been HOT in San Diego and I'm on the hunt for new swimwear. These vintage inspired bikinis (!!), this pineapple bikini, this lemon bikini, and this Aztec print bikini

Did you enter to win a $50 gift code to use on some pretty jewelry or decor from Lisa Leonard Designs? Well get on that. =P

Ha ha...I told my husband to go to the Anchorman extra audition. He loves that movie so he needs to be in it! :)

Happy weekend, Tammy!

you let me know how this carry on business works.

because i think you're crazy. i like you, but you're crazy. (ending the comment with a will ferrell quote gets me points, yes?)

I once took just a carry on t Guatemala. It was a volunteer trip so I brought a lot of plain clothes and no accessories or anything. The trick then was rolling up shirts tightly so that they took up as little space as possible. Oh, and shoes take up the most space so wear the biggest ones while flying.

Yes, you've definitely lost it but you will appreciate less luggage when you are running up and down stairs in train stations. I certainly couldn't do it!

There are some good blog resources for carry-on packing! I wish I could remember them all to help you with. Here's one from Little house - Big Heart http://littlehousebigheart.com/2013/05/01/how-to-pack-2-weeks-in-a-carry-on/

It's only for 2 weeks, but still.

My tip? Have a colour scheme for your outfits. This helps so much!!

You can definitely do it! I have done it twice - the first time on a trip to Spain, France and Italy for three weeks and recently to Colombia. The trick is to roll everything. I will say, be careful about packing all "basics." I noticed that in Europe that everyone was so fashionable that I wish I had packed more dresses/"cute" clothes.
