San Diego Highlights

Last week I shared my favorite San Diego spots on Jigsaw London's blog, and today I thought.. "I'm still suffering from Comic-Con hangover and am incapable of putting together a coherent blog post I live in one of the coolest places in the US. I should share that San Diego blog post on my blog! =P." Seriously, though I really do live in an incredible place. If you're planning a trip out here you might be interested in some of my recommendations.

Where To Stay:
Coronado Island is my favorite place in San Diego. It's just south of downtown San Diego, and has a charm like no other. Cross the bridge into Coronado Island and take in the little houses and well the occasional renovated mansion, rent a bike and ride around the island, and make sure you visit the beach at the Hotel Del. Last year the Hotel Del's beach was rated the #1 beach in the United States last year. Stay at the Hotel Del for a really special experience, Marilyn Monroe's movie Some Like It Hot was even filmed there.

What To See:

San Diego is filled with incredible places to see and experience. If beautiful beaches and upscale shopping are your thing, make sure you check out La Jolla Cove. Rent kayaks, watch the seals sunbathing on the sand, or just enjoy a walk along water. La Jolla really a special place.

All visits to San Diego should include a stop at Balboa Park. Walk the grounds, check out the museums, and just appreciate the park's beauty. Balboa Park is even home to the San Diego Zoo, it's definitely worth a visit.

Where To Eat:

My favorite brunch spot in San Diego is Snooze. The lines are always long, but the food is absolutely worth the wait. Snooze just happens to be in Hillcrest, a really fun up and coming neighborhood with lots of fun restaurants, shops, and bars.

Little Italy is brimming with authentic Italian food. Almost every single restaurant on India Street has great food and a fun atmosphere. Have a delicious meal, check out the many art galleries, and do a little shopping. There are so many great boutiques in Little Italy

Where To Shop:

You can head to Fashion Valley or the Carlsbad Outlet Mall for the usual department and mainstream stores, but if you're interested in boutique shopping San Diego has many great options. Make sure you visit Cedros Design District in Solana Beach, Little Italy, and the Flower Hill Promenade if you're in the mood for boutique shopping.

Like I always say, San Diegooo you are so good to me.
Have a good one :)

I LOVE Cedros Street! My aunt and I go there all the time. We usually do brunch at the Wild Note (the Belly Up's restaurant) and then shop 'til we drop :)

I loved La Jolla! The Cottage has amazing breakfast and it's such an amazing area to spend the day at. We tried to go to Snooze when we were in SD but the lines were sooo long, so we actually headed up the street to Chocolat Bistro right on the corner for some amazing crepes!

And that zoo is nooooo joke. Massive! Hilly! And super close to the animals! Ahhh! I miss SD!
