Exploring Versailles

While in Paris we did the obligatory trip to beautiful Chateau Versailles.
Versailles is straight up stunning, and absolutely worth the forty five minute train ride to reach the Chateau.
From Paris, we took the RER C-1 train line to Versailles-Rive Gauche station. Once you arrive at the station it's a short walk to Versailles. The Paris Museum Pass will get you into Versailles, but still expect to wait in line for a reallllly long time (like 2 hours long) to actually enter Versailles.

The Chateau and gardens exude luxury in a way I have never experienced before, and Marie Antoinette's Hamlet is the perfect escape to all that over the top luxury.

We returned to Paris tired and grumpy very hungry. We needed to eat, and soon. After a little restaurant research on tripadvisor we ended up at L'As du Fallafel in the Marais. Holy moley, the hummus and falafel we had at L'As du Fallafel were life changing good. For reals, I've had a lot of Israeli food in my day, but nothing has ever tasted that good. If you're ever in Paris you HAVE to try L'As du Fallafel.

Next up, our very last day in Paris. Le sigh.

Again, I'm swooning over your pictures. I've been to Paris, but we didn't take the trip to Versailles. It's a must-do next time I'm there!

I loved Versailles, but the crowds were SO overwhelming when I visited. I'd love to go back sometime when the tourist crowds are lighter!

Such gorgeous pictures! When I visited years ago, much of it was shut down due to renovation! Looks like you had the perfect weather too.
