Clementine Crush Sparkling Cocktail Recipe and a $50 Giveaway to Whole Foods

Saturday afternoon was rainy, cold (in  that absolutely freezing San Diego kinda way. Okay I kid), and I really was not in the mood to get a much needed oil change. Naturally, I did something way wayy more fun.

Step 1: Find fabulous cocktail recipe Whole Food's Best Holiday's Ever site
Step 2: Make way to Whole Foods to buy ingredients,
Step 3: Come home and go to work on those babies (take extra care to make sure the rim of cups is extra sugary because that's just the kinda thing that matters).
Step 4: Plop down on couch with fiance, turn on a movie, and enjoy the rain while day drinking.

I heart rainy Saturdays.
Delicious recipe down below. Keep scrolling ;)

Recipe for a Clementine Crush Sparkling Cocktail
  • Ingredients
  • 2 2/3 cups clementine juice, plus 1 tablespoon finely chopped clementine zest, plus 1 clementine for garnish (from 12-14 fruits total)
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar
  • 1 cup organic 100% cranberry juice but
  • 3/4 cup fresh cranberries
  • 8 (1-inch) sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 (750-ml) bottle sparkling wine, such as Pascual Toso Sparkling Brut, well chilled
  • 1 (12-ounce) can tonic water or ginger ale
Directions
In a wide, shallow dish, mix zest and sugar together with your fingers. Wet the rim of 8 cocktail glasses with a wet paper towel, and then dredge in clementine sugar to coat. In a large pitcher, use a wooden spoon to muddle cranberry juice, cranberries and rosemary sprigs thoroughly. Fill pitcher with ice cubes. Top off with clementine juice, wine and tonic water or ginger ale. Stir vigorously; pour into glasses; garnish with clementine twists and serve.

And now, a chance to win a $50 gift card to Whole Foods
You know you want in on this goodness ;)

Good Luck!

I would buy something healthy! I've never been to Whole Foods, but I hear that have a lot of vegetarian foods! :) Would love to try it!

one of my favorite things to do in whole foods is walk through and pick up different things to try - a new tea flavor, a new sparkling water or juice, a fresh baked loaf of bread, anything!

We are new to Whole Foods because they just entered our area, so I am not sure what I would buy. I haven't even seen their circular yet.
