Soy Sauce and Brown Sugar Marinade Salmon

The other night something crazy happened and I was inspired to make something really delicious. Natrurally, I did the usual Pinterest recipe search and happened upon a recipe for soy sauce and brown sugar salmon from Made From Pinterest that I slightly adjusted and it was really delicious and easy. Suhhweeet

I served the salmon with broiled yellow potatoes that I prepared with olive oil, garlic, sea salt, pepper, and topped with rosemary to taste. For the record, I had to google if it was okay to broil potatoes. Thanks Google for always being there when I need you. ;)

  • 1½ pounds salmon fillets
  • lemon pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • salt to taste
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup water
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

  1. Season salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil until sugar is dissolved. Place fish in a large resealable plastic bag, pour soy sauce mixture over fish, seal, and turn to coat. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat broiler at 425 degrees F
  4. Cover pan with foil, and place salmon on pan. Then put fan about 5 inches under the broiler.
  5. Broil for about 15 minutes depending on size of fish

Great Success!
