The Headquarters San Diego

If you've read this blog, for uhh at least a day you know I love my city (San Diego if you're still unsure =P), but I've always known there was something America's Finest City was missing. A place where tourists, families, older people, and people under the age of 21 could come together and hang out at night.

Well, what do ya know. We just got our own little family friendly, yet hip hangout spot. Hip to the hip to the hooray! Seriously, I am really excited about this!

It's called The Headquarters and is in Downtown San Diego right next to Seaport Village and the Convention Center. There are lots of fun restaurants, shops that sell lots of locally made goodies, art galleries, and uhh it's all inside a historic police headquarters that was built in 1939. I wouldn't expect anything less from America's Finest City (okay I recognize that really didn't make sense, let's move on).

Last night I was invited to a fun event at The Headquarters with other local bloggers where we were treated to yummy food, beverages of the alcoholic variety, and a tour of The Headquarters.

Just what my mom has always wanted to see...
Jokes aside, this was taken in the preserved jail cell at The Headquarters. P.S. It's an illusion, I'm really 5'3, not 5'3 and a half. Blame it on my boots without the fur.

Really delicious appetizers and margaritas Puesto

Aaron Change Ocean Art Gallery (he's one of my FAVORITE photographers!), the pillow I have wanted FOREVER from Kitson, and the most perfect stationary at Seaside Papery (I wasn't kidding when I said the stores at The Headquarters are fabulous!)

And just a couple pretty photos I received from The Headquarters in case you were interested....
