New Year's Eve at Disneyland

On Christmas Eve Nadav and I decided to be spontaneous (cough I convinced him it would be a fabulous idea) and purchase Disneyland passes. As a result, we were lucky enough to go to Disneyland 4 times over winter break. Sure it helps that we both had 2 weeks off of work, and spent most of the break in Orange County spending time with family.

Okay and Nadav we calculated that we needed to visit Disneyland 6 times to get our money's worth on the cost of the passes. Well we're almost there. ;)

But I digress, New Year's Eve rolled around, we didn't have any set plans (I know I know, New Year's Eve is totally overrated... until it's New Year's Eve and you realize you kinda wish you had plans. =P) and we decided to brave the crowds and spend New Year's Eve at Disneyland. I was a little nervous because I had heard that New Year's Eve is pretty much the busiest day of the year at Disneyland, but we sucked it up and I promised Nadav I wouldn't get too grumpy if people were all up in my business and made it to Disneyland around 5pm.

We ended up having SO MUCH FUN. I would even say it was one of the best New Year's Eves I've ever had. The fireworks were unreal, the energy was incredible, the music was oh so good, and well we were at the happiest place on earth.

Sure there were a gazillion people at the park, but Disneyland has a way of perfectly organizing and orchestrating every single thing to make it fun... even for a person like me who is kinda allergic to huge crowds. =P

Hope you ended 2013 in the most wonderful way.

Ooh...I love the idea of NYE at Disneyland. We tend to go on the least busy days (mid Jan and Feb on Tues, Wed or Thurs is ideal - no lines!) but that would be so fun. Idea for next year!!

Glad you guys had fun! :)

So fun! What a great idea for NYE. I agree, most of the time NYE parties and hooplah is majorly overrated.

I almost stayed home this NYE because I always feel like there's so much pressure to "have fun (get wasted) and "let loose" (stay up until 4 am) even if you don't want to. I feel like Disneyland would have been the perfect compromise. And I'm not just saying that because I work for Disney!
